Maryam Hassan

Maryam K Hassan is a Strategy Consultant at a major consulting firm based in New York City. Her experiences include international relations in commodities, non-profit marketing, DEI recruiting & mentorship, and media development. Maryam has worked extensively evaluating client financial circumstances, developing scalable strategies for organizational transformation implementations, growing global engagement, and triaging crises. She sits on the Columbia Alumni Association Board of Directors and is the co-founder of the Columbia Arab Alumni Association.

Maryam spent 13 years as a highly competitive long and triple jumper, serving as 2x captain at Columbia University, as well as captain at Rice University while completing her 5th year and pursuing her Masters in Global Affairs. She capped her athletic career with a professional stint in Egypt from which her family hails. Maryam thoroughly enjoys “looking through a different lens” as a photographer, and remains close to her track ties through coaching at a local high school.
